Brandy, my Cat, Who Thinks She’s Human

Brandy is half Siamese and half pusakal (pusang kalye). She was given to me two summers ago by my boss, teacher Annie. When I first saw her, I said, “ay, kamukha ni Sandy.” I have a dog with the same coloring as hers – black and white. Para silang mag-ina so my sister Wilgrace suggested to name her Brandy (ang anak ni Sandy).
Among her talents are:
1. She is ”potty-trained” – we have a bathroom we’re not using so we gave it to her. This is where she does her private thing. And I mean ‘private’, ayaw nyang may makakakita sa kanya kapag nag-wiwiwi or pupu. As in nagagalit siya (ngiaw na galit)!
2. She knows how to massage our heads – as in! Kapag humiga na ako or one of my sisters at feeling masipag siya, kusa siyang pupunta sa may ulohan. And she will massage with both hands iyong ulo, iyong may buhok lang. May pahagud-hagod pa! Kung makikita mo talaga siyang magmasahe, you’ll be amazed! (see her pix massaging Wilgrace sa Brandy link)
3. She understand some words – like halika na, akyat tayo, baba tayo, etc.
4. She knows where we keep her food – when she’s hungry, she “ngiaw” and go to the ref. We keep her food there. Her staple food are century tuna plain in water, whiskas dry, and rice. It has to be ‘in water’ at hindi ‘vegetable oil’. She does not like to eat fatty foods. I tried giving her bangus belly, chicken skin and some oily food but she won’t even taste them. Aba eh, diet conscious! But her favorite food is chicken.
5. She knows how to tell expensive fish from ordinary fish – Ayaw ba naman tikman ang sardines kahit Ligo na.
7. Nanunuod siya ng horror movie – at basketball. We used to explain her fascination with basketball is due to the fact that she sees a lot of movements on the screen. More than 10 ba naman ang tumatakbo (10players + refs) at may bola pa!
But Brandy ran in panic at takot na takot.
8. Nanunuod din siya ng mag computer games for kids – she will sit on my lap and look at the computer screen. She will stay for a long time if I’m playing games for toddlers (try out ko lang po before I present it to my students).
But one time, nilagay niya sa CR nya. Kailangan mo pang hakbangin. Nilagay nya doon at doon pinaglalaruan.

Intelligent Conversations (pls ckeck for updates)

BROWN OUT! (contributed by JODI)
Ubing: kasatno ngay dagijiay lugan idiay kalsada?
(hmmm, lagot brown out din mga jeep at bus)

PAULIT-ULIT
Teacher: Let me see if you understand what you have read. Translate to English the instructions written in Filipino. (Since the child is more comfortable in speaking in English)
Write the next-next letters of the alphabet.
(bakit kasi paulit-ulit tayong mga Filipino. Ang kulit-kulit!)

PAULIT-ULIT (part2)
Meron pang karnibal at karosel.

My New Old Fon

Today I got myself a new ‘old’ fon. Its new coz I just got it today. Its old coz its second hand.
my SAP1
Posted by Hello

Reasons why its AMAZING
1. Big nice screen
2. Not too flashy
3.Its windows based!
4. Bec its MS windows-based you can do almost anything with it:
a. although, its first Smart-locked, the line can be easily opened with proper programs
b. change the software
c. add programs you want
- so you can change the theme, add MP3 player, media player, record, read MS Word(and anything MS), display analog clocks, go to the web, type notes (using word pad), take videos, etc. etc.
5. can add memory card (so you can expand memory- the more the merrier!)
6. with camera (although, you still have to attach it)
7. really cheap compared to other fons' features and capabilities
8. and I can join airfagev.com (an org for those who have SAPs. Super mababait mga tao dito)
History of my Fons
My first fon was one of the cheapest in the market - Trium. I like it coz few people buy it (i'm not a fun of 'uso', where you see everybody using the same things). Its still in good condition when my Dad offered to buy all of us (kids) celfons since their cheaper in Singapore. My mom suggested Nokia 3310 coz its the 'celfon ng bayan'. Snatchers wont be much interested with them. And of course, its not expensive. So, my 2nd fon was the famous Nokia 3310. After a couple of years have past, I suggested to my father to buy a SAP1. And he did. At napamana sakin ang luma niyang fon. So i had my 3rd fon- Nokia3530. Today, i got my 4th fon. And now, I can say that I definitely like it. Love ko na nga 'ata eh. My boyfriend and my Dad had thier SAP1 for quite some time na. But it was my mom who convinced me to buy one. (Salamat din kay coolworld of airfagev for taking good care of his SAP =)

NASA Evidence about God

A friend emailed me this a long time ago. Please allow me to share this with you.

NASA Evidence about GOD This is truly amazing!! Worth your time to pass it around..........
For all Scientists, Unbelievers and for those who have a hard time believing regarding the truth of the Bible...here's something that shows God's Mightiness-- truly He is in control. Did you know that the space program is showing that what has been called "myth" in the Bible is true? Mr. Harold Hill, President of the Curtis Engine Company in Baltimore Maryland and a consultant in the spaceprogram, relates the following development: I think one of the most amazing things that God has for us today happened recently to our astronauts and space scientists at Green Belt, Maryland. They were checking the position of the sun, moon, and planets out in space where they would be 100 years and 1000 years from now. We have to knowthis so we won't send a satellite, up and have it bump into something later on its orbits. We have to lie out the orbits in terms of the life of the satellite, and where the planets will be so the whole thing will not bog down. They ran the computer measurement back and forth over the centuries and it came to a halt. The computer stopped and put up a red signal, which meant that there was something wrong either with the information fed into it or with the results as compared to the standards. They called in the service department to check it out and they said, "What's wrong?" Well, they found there is a day missing in space inelapsed time. They scratched their heads and tore their hair. There was no answer. Finally, a Christian man on the team said, "You know, one time I was in Sunday school and they talked about the sun standing still." While they didn't believe him, they didn't have an answer either, so they said, "Show us". He got a Bible and went back to the book of Joshua where they found a pretty ridiculous statement for any one with 'common sense.' There they found the Lord saying to Joshua, "Fear them not, I have delivered them into thy hand; there shall not a man of them stand before Thee." Joshua was concerned because he was surrounded by the enemy and if darkness fell they would overpower them. So Joshua asked the Lord to make the sun stand still! That's right-"The sun stood still and the moon stayed on ---and hasted not to go down about a whole day!" The astronauts and scientists said, "There is the missing day!" They checked the computers going back into the time it was written in the Bible and IT WAS THERE but found it was close to one hour but not close enough. The elapsed time that was missing back in Joshua's day was 23hours and 20 minutes not a whole day. They read the Bible again and there it was: "about (meaning approximately) a day". These little words in the Bible are important, but they were still in trouble because if you cannot account for 40 minutes you'll still be in trouble 1,000 years from now. Forty minutes had to be found because it can be multiplied many times over in orbits. As the Christian employee thought about it, he remembered somewhere in the Bible where it said the sun went BACKWARDS. The scientists told him he was out of his mind, but they again got out the Book and read these words in 2 Kings. Hezekiah, on his death-bed, was visited by the prophet Isaiah who told him that he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a sign as proof. Isaiah said, "Do you want the sun to go ahead 10 degrees?" Hezekiah said "It is nothing for the sun to go ahead 10 degrees, but let the Shadow return backward 10 degrees." Isaiah spoke to the Lord and the Lord brought the shadow ten degrees BACKWARD! Ten degrees is exactly 40 minutes! Twenty-three hours and 20 minutes in Joshua, plus 40 minutes in Second Kings make the missing day in the universe! Isn't it amazing? Our God is rubbing our noses with His Truth! References: Joshua 10:8 and 12,13; 2 Kings 20:9-11
